Point Cabrillo Lighthouse, Mendocino, California.
This is one of the best photographs I’ve seen of the lighthouse, and I’m not much of a fan of mono-chromaticism.
The reason I’ve seen lots of photographs is that I’m part of the Point Cabrillo Lightkeepers Association. We’ve brought the site from disrepair to one of the most complete lighthouses in the U.S. and continue to maintain it and the surrounding 270 preserve.
First off, for everyone reading this marvelous blog, please come visit, and hopefully make a donation. There is more information at pointcabrillo.org about staying in the First Lightkeepers House, with four bedrooms and baths, or in one of the two cottages–one will accomodate dogs. Maybe you’re interested in a wedding or reception; come visit !!!
